Accelerated Payment Technologies introduced following sale of CAM Commerce Point-of-Sale Software division
June 01, 2010

The sale of the CAM Commerce point-of-sale software division to Robertson Piper Software Group (RPSG) has opened the way for CAM’s integrated payments division to establish an independent brand and a business model focused on high-quality, relationship-based engagement for all of its point-of-sale partners.

With a new corporate identity, Accelerated Payment Technologies (Accelerated) remains a privately-held portfolio company of Great Hill Partners under the same leadership. Accelerated is a highly profitable company, serving tens of thousands of U.S. and Canadian companies with billions of dollars in transaction volume annually.  RPSG is committed to continuing its exclusive partnership with Accelerated to fulfil its clients’ integrated payment processing needs and will operate the point-of-sale software business under the CAM Commerce brand.

Accelerated’s significant growth over the last decade and its evolution from a point-of-sale software company into a leading integrated payments provider has confirmed the market’s appetite for a truly integrated, partner-focused solution.  In an otherwise commoditized payments industry, Accelerated’s proprietary technologies and integrated payments business model give the company a unique value proposition and solution mix. Accelerated’s highly flexible single integration point is comprised of gateway, middleware and back-end technologies that actually shoulder the burden of PCI compliance and payment processing for its partner and merchant customers.  With a historical focus on building deep and lasting partner relationships, Accelerated pledges to continue to deliver the best partner experience available through sophisticated sales and marketing support, engaged relationship management, comprehensive and transparent reporting, expert integrations support, and knowledgeable and responsive customer care.

Explaining the sale of the point-of-sale software business Accelerated Chief Executive Officer and former CAM Commerce principal Roy Banks said: “The sale of the CAM Commerce point-of-sale software division completes our transformation into a 100% focused integrated payment technology company. Our 25 year history of point-of-sale software development gives us unmatched knowledge and experience, which translates into a competitive advantage unique in the integrated payments market.  Our partners can have the confidence and assurance that we truly understand their challenges and have developed our payment processing technology from their perspective, to fit their needs.”

He continued: “Accelerated is focused on expanding our market share by displacing stand alone terminal payment providers where merchants utilize mission-critical point-of-sale software applications to accept payments and manage their business. We expect this to continue to fuel our growth at the expense of other integrated payment providers who do not have our point-of-sale experience and fail to understand the value of deep relationships, superior service and next-generation payment platform technology solutions.”

ACCELERATED is located in Pleasant Grove, UT. Accelerated maintains offices in Henderson, NV, Fountain Valley, CA and St. Louis, MO through its wholly owned card-present gateway company, T3 (www.t3llc.com)
