Interex, the trading entity of global retailer Intermarche and one of the largest international supermarket chains in Serbia, has successfully piloted G.O.L.D. Central from Aldata, a leading provider of software solutions for the retail industry, to optimise replenishment at its abac store.

Interex plans to extend its replenishment capabilities to its other Serbian stores. G.O.L.D.s Master Data Management (MDM) backbone and international support will enable Interex to continue to extend the single G.O.L.D. replenishment solution into other Balkan countries.

Interex will deploy the Aldata replenishment capabilities to all six of its retail stores in Cacak, Belgrade, Ni, Zajecar, abac and Pritina by the end of 2008. Following its G.O.L.D. rollout to Serbia, Interex also plans to extend G.O.L.D. Central to its Romanian stores.

Thanks to the training and support of Aldata's experienced professionals during the Bosnia and Herzegovina implementation, our team is qualified to implement and maintain Aldata G.O.L.D. on its own in both Serbia and Romania.

G.O.L.D. Central is a complete management solution for central head-office operations that enables the control, management and optimisation of logistics and commercial flows and facilitates stock level management, pricing, ranges and assortments and replenishment.

To optimise replenishment and improve efficiencies, Interex initially licensed Aldata G.O.L.D. in 2005 for its stores in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to more efficiently manage its head-office, logistics and store operations.
