French fashion label Kookai has deployed an IT platform for its 32 retail outlets across Australia and New Zealand, provided by Melbourne-based Retail Directions, which will support its long term IT requirements and support its retail expansion plans.

Kookai has implemented Retail Directions two, fully integrated flagship products, the Retail Management System (RMS) for head office and warehouse management, and Store Management System (SMS). RMS also includes integrated Business Intelligence module SaleCube. Both systems have been fully implemented throughout Kookai and are being used across Australia and New Zealand by over 400 retail staff.

The project has enabled Kookai to enhance the management of it operations in the region by utilising Retail Directions integrated retail management system, which has significantly improved the companys day-to-day business logistics.

Rob Cromb, Managing Director at Kookai, said, We needed a retail management system that would grow with the Kookai brand and support us in all areas of the business across our Australian and New Zealand operations.

Kookai was previously using a small scale POS technology and general-purpose head office management system. However, it was not designed to support the retailers requirements and was becoming increasingly ineffective in the management of the business.

Cromb said, The unified store management system has improved communication between the stores, stock warehouses and head office, and employee feedback indicates the system is much easier to use than our previous software. We were looking for an IT solution that offered seamless back of house technology and a POS system that is user friendly and requires minimum staff training. Retail Directions software offers all of this and their products are designed with retailers in mind.
