Radware, provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, has announced that Papa John's, the world's third largest pizza company, is using Radware's AppDirector, LinkProof, and DefensePro solutions to increase the performance and efficiency of its worldwide e-commerce network.

 
Over 25% of all global food and beverage revenues come from orders placed via online or mobile device transactions; to date, generating $2 billion.  
 
To sustain this revenue channel, Papa John's selected Radware to provide the application delivery and security solutions needed to ensure its vast application and network infrastructure is able to support growing network demand, maximise response times and ensure the capacity needed to handle large amounts of online traffic, now and in the future.
 
In addition to preventing service disruptions and providing customers with a safe, hassle-free web experience, Papa John's needs to provide employees with uninterrupted access to its multi-dimensional intranet portal.
 
Since deploying AppDirector, LinkProof, and DefensePro across multiple sites, all powered on the Radware's OnDemand Switch hardware platforms, Papa John's has experienced a substantial increase in operational and customer-facing effectiveness.  The solution combination increased network performance immediately across the Papa John global network and has substantially reduced the likelihood of downtime due to security attacks.

Papa John's is using Radware's suite of products to manage and strengthen a number of critical network areas including:

AppDirector - An intelligent application delivery controller (ADC) providing Papa John's with non-stop application availability and optimised server performance across a range of application acceleration functions including: SSL offloading, web compression, static and dynamic content caching, TCP optimisation and bandwidth utilisation control.  This ensures fast application and transaction response times.
 
The VDC sits on Radware's OnDemand Switch platform, which provides the option of "pay-as-you-grow" pricing.  
 
AppDirector is the only ADC to provide multi-layered security to protect networks from emerging network attacks and application vulnerability exploitation.
 
 LinkProof - Radware's advanced Multi-WAN load balancer will bypass ISP outages and other network issues for Papa John's.  It can now manage multiple ISP links at a time to quickly react and avoid potential network issues.
 
LinkProof also provides Papa John's with disaster recovery protection in the event of an outage, and the ability to circumvent failed connections without causing system impact.
 
 DefensePro - Fully protects Papa John's network from known and emerging security threats. It is providing complete security protection including: an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Network Behavioural Analysis (NBA), Denial-of-Service (DoS) Protection and Reputation Engine.
 
The solution uses behavioural based real-time signature technology to detect and mitigate attacks without the need for human intervention and without blocking legitimate user traffic.  This comprises every option from zero-minute attacks to DoS/DDoS attacks and application misuse.
