Retec Interface, the provider of multi-channel guided selling and self-service solutions to the retail sector, is expanding its business development team with the announcement of two new appointments.

David Niccolls joins the team at the company's head office in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, as senior business development manager.

With a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of West England, as well as a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, David joins Retec Interface from Transactis Ltd, part of the Barclay Brothers portfolio. He has significant experience in the retail sector having played an instrumental role in launching a large data hosting loyalty programme for one of the country's biggest retailers.

David's new position will see him helping Retec Interface's new and existing clients to grow their sales, reduce operational costs and build customer loyalty. He will also be tasked with identifying new and innovative multi-channel guided selling and self service opportunities that are designed and developed in-house.

Joining David is Christian Hatton, a business graduate from Nottingham Trent University, who takes on the role of business development manager.

Christian previously worked for Brainware, Inc. a USA-based company that specialises in intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions. He also spent time at managed product and service solutions provider Ergo Computing, where he successfully grew his account area from 1.6m to 3.0m and helped to change the strategy of the business from commodity product to tailored solution/service provider.

At Retec Interface, Christian will work on the company's new business strategy, account development and also bring together cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of the client.

Commenting on the two new appointments, Retec Interface's sales director, Richard Barnett, said:

"Both David and Christian bring the degree of experience and professionalism that Retec Interface is renowned for.

"David has an understanding of how shoppers want to interact in today's retail environment and the skills that are required to ensure that our clients and partners are able to develop strategies that will produce measureable results.

"Christian comes to us with the ability to understand, define and shape the needs of his clients to produce a strategy that will ultimately deliver business value. Both David and Christian will be valuable additions to our business development team."

Retec Interface is part of the Retec Digital Group and has developed a reputation for enhancing the shopping experience for the consumer, as well as increasing sales for clients. The company's client portfolio features some of the UK's largest retailers, including Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury's and Boots.
