eCommera's Michael Ross lends expertise to charity etailer In Kind Direct

Michael Ross, director and founder of eCommera, has joined the board of In Kind Direct, a charity that redistributes product donations from manufacturers and retailers, to a network of charities across the UK.

Michael will act as a trustee and non-executive Director, and provide expertise through his experience as a founder of online lingerie company, Figleaves.com, and director of eCommera, a leading provider of intelligent multi-channel ecommerce trading solutions.



Michael Ross said, "In Kind Direct has a great value proposition and is already making a big impact with an approach that is a win for charities, businesses and the environment. I'm delighted that I have the opportunity to help the charity develop its model ".    

Since the foundation by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales  in 1996, the charity has redistributed over 130 million worth of products from companies such as Procter & Gamble, Asda, Kimberly-Clark, Home Retail Group and Colgate Palmolive.

Almost 6000 charities have benefited from product donations from 850 companies handled by In Kind Direct. The charity plans to grow significantly over the next two years, expanding its product donation service to more retailers and manufacturers.
