Virtualstock given Little British Battler status

Retail software company named in elite group of UK SMEs punching above their weight

The Little British Battler (LBB) initiative that champions UK SMEs who are successfully competing against bigger, more established companies in the IT and software space has named Virtualstock (VS) among its elite honourees.

Founded by entrepreneur team Tim Ingham and Ed Bradley, VS's The Edge solution seamlessly connects with any existing set of systems and platforms, giving total control of business critical data, without any interference to existing systems. In the current world of 'Big Data' efficiency, The Edge has provided a rapid and flexible alternative to traditional unwieldy systems integrations.

"The sentiment of Little British Battler fits perfectly with our business ethos," says Ed Bradley. "We see ourselves as a disruptive player in a market that has been dominated for far too long by large multi-national providers that have consistently failed to deliver the right results at the right time and at the right price."

VS has already achieved notable success going head-to-head with the big global players and beating them for contracts or replacing them as software providers. The company's current client list includes a diverse range of organisations such as global retail giants Tesco and Office Depot, French brand owner DBA and TV explorer and international outdoor pursuits brand Bear Grylls.

"We feel the larger players have been coasting by on their perceived brand security," adds Tim Ingham. "But in the economic times we are now all working in it's simply not good enough to be playing the same old game. It's a time for innovation and creative agility in software and it's about providing transparent and tangible bottom line benefits for your clients."

Little British Battler is organised by respected industry analysts TechMarketView.
