This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: O'Reillys continues to invest and grow with wholesale software from Sanderson.

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of software solutions to the Delivered Wholesale and Cash & Carry industries, is delighted that O'Reillys, the convenience foods wholesaler, has reaffirmed its commitment to the integrated wholesale distribution system Swords. The Sanderson system was chosen as it offers best in class solutions, with the most comprehensive functionality to manage O'Reillys' delivered wholesale operations. It also includes additional industry specialist solutions designed to deliver first-class customer service through increased service levels and additional sales channels.

Based in Newry, Northern Ireland, O'Reillys supplies snacks and grocery items to businesses across Ireland and is a member of two of the most progressive wholesale industry buying organisations, Sugro and Today's Group. Sugro is a £870m turnover business providing commercial opportunities for its membership and Today's Group is the UK's largest independent buying group, with buying power exceeding £5.7bn and over 160 wholesale & cash & carry members.

Since implementation in 2011, Swords has been integral to O'Reillys' successful and growing business operations. The company is planning to move up to the latest release of the Swords solution which will provide wide-ranging benefits right across the business including, high-speed processing and more user efficiencies, boosting productivity for O'Reillys as well as reducing costs. As O'Reillys continues to thrive with increasing sales, this latest version of the Sanderson solution will provide a stronger platform for growth through its advanced performance levels, faster access to data and time-saving features.

O'Reillys has also taken the opportunity to upgrade its existing website. The new fully responsive and integrated solution from Sanderson is accessible by any type of device and offers customers the convenience of 24 hour ordering. Features of the refreshed website will also include user-friendly graphical functionality and the incorporation of allergen information which is a key specialist requirement for the company. The latest nominal ledger is also benefitting O'Reillys by delivering a single view of company finances and the Cashbook module provides increased functionality and a simple front-end for many nominal ledger postings, saving valuable time for the company.

O'Reillys has also invested in its sales operation with the addition of more Mobile CRM devices. The Mobile CRM app helps the sales team to maximise performance and increase revenue whilst on the road. The team can create quotes, process sales orders and view essential stock information whilst with customers, allowing them to respond faster to customer enquiries. Furthermore the implementation of the latest Warehouse Management System (WMS) is improving stock replenishment processes within O'Reillys' already highly successful voice operated warehouse.

Derek O'Reilly, Managing Director of O'Reillys comments: "As part of our ongoing strategy we continue to drive multi-channel innovation to meet the needs of our customers by providing them with the best possible service. Sanderson has proved to be the ideal partner for us – developing and implementing solutions which fit our business needs perfectly. The latest web ordering system will generate extra revenue and give us a vital channel to communicate promotions and delivery times with our customers, improving our service levels."

Martin Beatty, Product Development Director for Wholesale Distribution Solutions at Sanderson adds: "It's fantastic to extend our working relationship with O'Reillys and support its drive for company growth and excellent customer service. Our very latest systems including the web ordering system and Mobile CRM are being tailored and enhanced for O'Reillys, making this a very exciting project for Sanderson. We look forward to continuing to support Derek and his team with the future development of the business."
