This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: New technology partnership extends AURES Technologies’ reach in fashion and sports club retail.

One of the UK's longest-established retail technology companies, Esperus Systems Ltd, has brought its business to global EPoS manufacturer AURES Technologies in a partnership that will see AURES Yuno touchscreen terminals as the 'go to market' choice for Esperus client rollouts.

Esperus Systems Ltd is a UK based company formed in 1986 to design and develop computerised management and information systems for clothing and footwear, across the retail, wholesale, distribution and manufacturing sectors.

Explains the company's co-owner, Greg Gregoriou: "Unlike many of our competitors, we have one single own- developed software program that manages retail, wholesale, production and distribution. A large proportion of our clients are involved in wholesale, either exclusively or in addition to retail, so for them this proves to be a seamless solution."

"Esperus has an impressive solution and an impressive client base," says AURES Technologies' Head of UK Sales, Richard Heitmann, who negotiated the new partnership. Of particular appeal to AURES is Esperus' success with luxury apparel and footwear brands such as Crockett & Jones (men's shoes) established 1879, Cordings (country clothing) established 1839, and Lock & Co (hats) established in 1676 and the oldest hat shop in the world. These and many other (prestigious) organisations have been using Esperus for over 15 years.

Genesis Enterprise is also used by a number of concessions where it integrates with the retailer's own POS software. Another sector where Esperus enjoys success is shops within stadia and sports venues, where both tickets and merchandise are sold, it boasts many clients, but a few are Leeds United FC and Queens Park Rangers FC, both clients for over 15 years.

In the first weeks of the new relationship, Esperus clients including new client Jeffery West (designer men's shoes) and long-term user Queen's Park Rangers FC have signed up to make the move to AURES.

Explains Gregoriou: "We provide our customers with a complete software and hardware solution and until recently have rolled out Genesis on alternative terminals. We're excited now to have the Yuno within our range. The Yuno has stylish looks and is very quiet, and we like its matching peripherals. For our top-end clients, shop décor and fittings play an important part in promoting product and brand. When we show existing and new clients the Yuno, they are impressed by it. It is in keeping with the look and feel they want in their stores."

Continues Greg Gregoriou: "Today's focus is about engaging with customers, capturing their details, understanding their needs, rewarding loyalty and encouraging repeat business. To reflect this we have recently brought to market some great new till features that our clients want - such as electronic receipts, loyalty gift vouchers, customer loyalty reward points, and image-driven tills. The system provides real time data for precise analysis of sales and buying patterns. The excellent AURES hardware can run all our new till features seamlessly and bring them to life for our customers."
