This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: ADAM Software identified as a leader in Digital Asset Management for Customer Experience by Forrester Research.

ADAM Software, the Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Content Management (PCM) software provider, has been identified as a leader by Forrester Research, Inc. in The Forrester Wave Digital Asset Management For Customer Experience, Q3 2016.

The Forrester Wave report evaluated the 12 most significant software providers across 33 criteria. ADAM Software tied for the top score in two criteria: Strategic vision and direction, and in Enterprise track record and market traction. The report cites ADAM Software's strong product library services capabilities, particularly in areas like globalisation/localisation, metadata, and taxonomy.

Forrester also noted that "ADAM Software boasts some large, global deployments in both Europe and North America for clients looking for a .NET DAM solution... has a robust strategic vision for building partner networks and showed some new features like automated tagging."

Discussing the current DAM market, the report notes it is growing because more application development and delivery (AD&D) professionals see DAM as a way to address their top challenges to manage customer-facing rich media content, and are looking for deeper support for interactive content with DAM .

In addition, as older technology becomes outdated and less effective, improved capabilities in workflow, marketing support, analytics and cloud will dictate which providers will lead the pack. Vendors that can provide these capabilities position themselves to successfully deliver to their customers.

The report further identifies the importance of rich media for creating engaging content, stating that "rich media like videos and images are unparalleled in their ability to drive customer attention and create emotional connections." Specifically, rich media drives interactive campaigns, enriches the brand experience, and supports richer experiences driven by sales, product, and lines of business.

"We welcome the Forrester Wave™ report on DAM," said ADAM Software CEO Pieter Casneuf. "We feel it reinforces our position as a leader in DAM, which is now a critical component of the digital experience technology architecture to support valuable customer-facing content. With Forrester expecting the market to continue to consolidate around a few key players, we believe this evaluation confirms that we are strongly positioned to provide customer experiences that differentiate brands, both in terms of content and rich media."
