This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Latest strategies and innovations in multichannel retail to be revealed at IRC 2016.

One of the biggest events in the retail calendar, the InternetRetailing Conference (IRC), is set to bring together global leaders in multichannel and pureplay retail to discuss the pressures and trends challenging the growth of the industry.

Visitors attending the show at the Novotel Hammersmith on 12th October will witness debates and presentations from key decision makers and leading retailers in the industry, as well as a first-hand look at the latest research and technology to engage, grow and transform within the multichannel commerce industry.

Top brands Airbnb, Alibaba, New Look, Google, eBay, River Island, B&Q, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, IBM, Urban Outfitters, Woolovers, Halfords, M&S, Lego, feelunique, Hotels.com, Boots and many others from across the globe will take the stage at IRC this year.

Industry trailblazers at the show will share their experience and exclusive new research to inspire attendees and help retailers expand their business to new horizons. For instance, innovators like Klarna, Barclaycard and Pfister, together with Apptus, will be presenting at the show real-life case studies on online checkout experience, omnichannel payment integration and intelligent personalisation strategy, respectively, and its impact on conversion rates.

With the imminence of Brexit, a big focus for this year's conference, there will also be tracks on international expansion and new markets. Vtex will bring a delegation from Latin American, with experts from Electrolux, C&A Brazil, Grupo Boticário and Frávega Argentina. They will introduce the foreign market and the main challenges for EU retailers to capitalise on ecommerce growth in the region.

Exclusive new research and reports on different aspects affecting multichannel retail, such as new consumer habits, effective innovation in the fashion industry, cart abandonment, customer experience, localisation strategy and how to engage with the global consumer, will be unveiled at the show by Bazaarvoice, eCommera, Electio, Pitney Bowes and Trustpilot.
All new key retail, ecommerce, mobile and delivery trends, as well as the developments that are currently shaping the multichannel landscape, will be addressed. Many new and exciting products set to revolutionise the way multichannel retail works will also be presented at the show.

eCommera will showcase one of its latest innovative prototypes, an interactive mirror which displays different content and products based on various attributes, such as the customer's gender and emotion, as well as the weather. Other optimisation solutions and software that improves the customer journey and retailers' offering will also be demoed by Electio, inRiver, Lil Packaging, Happiest Minds, Klarna and Apptus.

Furthermore, encouraging a hands-on approach, the conference will host 12 free-to-attend workshops lead by key industry suppliers including ASDA, Mobify, Electio, Pitney Bowes, Bazaarvoice, Certona and Fedex Cross Border. It will cover a wide range of topics from personalisation and conversion to cross-border and international trade.

Complementary to IRC, taking place on 11th October at the same venue, the eDelivery Conference (EDC) will cover best practices and solutions for the "S-O-L-D" (Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics and Delivery) industry. It will gather the most innovative supply chain leaders, who are playing a pivotal role in reinventing traditional operational structures to convert the latest demands of the 'always on', 'anytime, anywhere' consumer into a competitive opportunity.
