Peoplevox, the e-commerce Warehouse Management System (WMS) provider, has announced the immediate availability of a free Android mobile app for use by any e-commerce retailer seeking greater control over their Goods In process.

The easy to use mobile app is now available for download from the Peoplevox website and is the first example of a slew of product innovations underway at Peoplevox Labs, the company's Research & Development arm.

Peoplevox's Goods In app puts operatives right at the point of activity, helping to streamline communications between the warehouse and the back office, making it ideal for online retailers of any size, currently with or without a WMS system, to more easily control inventory as it comes into the warehouse.

The Goods In Scanner app provides a quick and easy way to capture the receipt of goods by item with purchase order numbers so a buyer can reconcile the items received against an order. Use the camera to scan item barcodes, and take pictures of the Supplier delivery note and the state of any damaged items to share with and send to the buyer. The app allows the user to share, via email, the information captured, giving back office staff an electronic record of exactly what was received and by whom - a great help in speeding up supplier queries and payments in a consistent manner.
