This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Ergonomic Solutions enables great customer service at RBTE 2017.

On stand 518 at RBTE 2017, which took place at London Olympia from 8th-9th May, Ergonomic Solutions displayed its range of technology mounting & mobility solutions that enable customer facing applications to deliver excellence in customer service at the Point of Sale, Point of Payment and Point of Service.

At the Point of Sale, SpacePole Essentials was created to work with existing hardware or furniture by offering robust ergonomically designed mounting options that are built to last. Essentials offers features and functionalities that improve ergonomics and productivity and are configured from standard parts and accessory ranges suitable for all in-store retail applications.

New in-store technology and associated apps have created a more engaging and seamless shopping experience that must not be static. These away-from-the-till mPOS solutions and services featuring tablet-based applications in conjunction with mobile payment terminals, can make the customer experience personal, using visual merchandising, for example.

Ergonomic Solutions' OpenSpace range of enclosures, sleds and frames combined with mobile payment solutions deliver those mPOS solutions that keep the in-store experience relevant to today's 24/7 shopper.

At the Point of Payment, Ergonomic Solutions' solutions for static, mobile and contactless payments are the industry standard, with over 2.5million installed worldwide. Simple cost-effective solutions can protect your hardware by lowering the occasions where the terminal is lifted and twisted giving rise to those potentially damaging drops and the terminals freezing. SpacePole Stack is a cost-effective answer to these challenges.

SpacePole Stack provides maximum flexibility at the point of sale. Its composite construction has glass fibre enhancements for rigidity and durability. Fully tested through 100,000 cycles, this solution will deliver year in year out. Designed and manufactured in Denmark, SpacePole Stack is simply best of breed.
SpacePole Stack features a wider body for improved cable management and its greater stability makes it ideal for payment terminals including those with signature capture, for example. Whether screwed or affixed using an adhesive pad, this payment mount isn't going anywhere.
As standard, SpacePole Stack come with an adaptor that adds another 28mm or just over an inch to the height of the solution. This may improve accessibility or customer-operator rotation depending on the specific application.

MultiGrip plates act as the interface between the payment terminal and SpacePole Stack. Designed and manufactured by Ergonomic Solutions, they support payment terminals from world-leading manufacturers such as Ingenico and Verifone. If a change is needed to the payment terminal, then the MultiGrip plate is removed and replaced with one compatible with the new terminal. It is as simple as that with no upgrades or changes needed to SpacePole Stack, providing the end user with excellent return on investment.

The Point of Service can reflect what looks good online, in-store. The number of customer touchpoints across the omnichannel store provides an enormous opportunity for that technology to be employed to engage with the consumer across the store, from the entrance through to the payment transaction.

The store is more than a bricks and mortar showroom. So, the real heart of a successful unified commerce experience is a series of smart and intuitive touchpoints between staff and customer. Retailers need easy-to-use and flexible solutions that can offer multi-functionality to provide that key to success.

Applications such as queue busting, assisted sales, click & collect and in-store ordering are all enabled by the OpenSpace range of enclosures, sleds, frames and accessories. Whether static, mobile, or a combination of both, our solutions enable those customers facing applications across the store, providing in-store what the customer expects, online.

The OpenSpace A-Frame is in an enclosure that offers the ultimate flexibility for a range of standalone applications. It has been designed and manufactured in aluminium. A 10-day time to market production process means that A-Frame can react to an ever-changing tablet market, where new devices or revisions of existing tablets are the norm.

The A-Frame enables applications across the store. From in-store ordering, information look up points and even virtual merchandising and utilising a simple fitting kit, a mobile payment terminal can be added when housed in Ergonomic Solutions' specially designed M-Case sleeve to create an attractive-looking mPOS system.

Ralph Lambers, Chief Product Officer commented: "This is the most flexible and customisable tablet enclosure that we have ever produced. A-Frame is a multi-role enclosure that can enable a vast range of customer facing and mPOS applications. Its clever design means that A-Frame is also very much a channel-ready product which supports a range of popular tablets, straight out of the box."
