This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Dolcis completes roll-out of integrated EPOS solution with YESpays Chip and PIN.

UK fashion shoe retailer, Dolcis has selected ITIMs Chameleon EPoS and YESpays EMBOSS Bureau Payment Service solutions.

The solution was fully implemented across Dolcis 77 stores and concessions in the UK and Ireland. ITIMs highly acclaimed EPoS product made headlines earlier this year, being named Technology Solution of the Year at the  European Retail Solutions Awards in June.

Although it is essential to implement these systems, Dolcis IT controller Nigel Hickman said that the shoe  retailer will also get a return on its investment. He explained: For stores, it will increase productivity because manual paperwork will disappear. We will have better communications with e-mail and online stock and sales information will be available in real-time.

The EPoS system is being implemented alongside a managed payment card processing service provided by YESpay. This will allow Dolcis to implement a fully pre-accredited Chip & PIN and PCIDSS compliant payment service. Hickman said that he was pleased with the way the system was rolled out to the pilot site and that it is working well.

In addition to linking to YESpays EMBOSS payment service, YESpay established a new Merchant Service Agreement for Dolcis with Streamline for each of its 77 stores within less than 10 working days. YESpay helps to significantly reduce costs for independent retailers frustrated by the high costs of credit and debit card processing available to them, compared to those offered to the large multiple retailers. YESpay has negotiated preferential credit and debit card rates for its retailers through its agreement with Streamline Merchant Services, a member of the Royal Bank of Scotland comments Rohit Patni, EVP Sales and Marketing, YESpay.
