Shuropody finds its feet with YESpays Chip and PIN EMBOSS Bureau Service

Shuropody, the total footcare retailer, has implemented YESpays EMBOSS solution integrated with Myriad EPOS software from Orcus in over 40 of its stores.

The integrated EMBOSS service provides a pre-approved solution that integrates into its in-store EPOS. The retailer required a rapid roll out and the EPOS technology from Orcus was implemented in less than five weeks. The turnaround was delivered quickly due to YESpays pre-accreditation of its EMBOSS Bureau Service with HSBC, Shuropodys acquiring bank.

Simon Kirby, Operations Director, Shuropody, said, Orcus and YESpay had to work to a tight deadline, but managed to get every site up and running in time. Orcus service and support has been outstanding, while the EMBOSS service is reliable, quick and easy to use. Both solutions have proven to be an excellent match, performing superbly well in our stores.

EMBOSS has been pre-accredited by major European and North American card acquirers. In addition, with new requirements for card and transaction security EMBOSS is fully certified to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS Level 1) as mandated by Visa and Mastercard.

Rohit Patni, EVP Sales and Marketing, YESpay, said, Shuropody has considerably cut the costs of having to conduct any formal bank approval and complying with PCI requirements by outsourcing its card payments processing. The retailer has also saved a great deal of time allowing it to focus on its day-to-day operations.

The integrated EMBOSS service has now become an established part of the Orcus offering. As well as chip and PIN transactions, the Cardholder Not Present facility allows customers to pay for goods and services over the phone. This flexibility gives Myriad an advantage over competing systems.
