Sir,

Visas Emue is a great step forwards for safer online shopping. With card fraud totalling 328m million last year, its clear that current measures to ensure customers are who they say they are arent enough. There has to be a second layer of authentication security, and the Emue should be a great tool in the fight against fraud. But this isnt just an issue for consumers. Mobile working is still on the rise, and with more people logging on to company networks remotely, whos protecting corporate information and finances?

Tighter business budgets mean that employers increasingly using short-term consultants rather than full-time staff. All these freelance workers need secure network access, often from a different office. This is a serious fraud risk and senior managers must use additional security layers, like those demonstrated by the Emue, to ensure they are 100 per cent clear who is logging on to the network.
