Lick Online, the web division of Yorkshiredirect mail and fulfilment company, The Lick Group have been appointed to handle all the fulfilment and distribution needs for Leeds United Football Clubs online shop, processing consumer generated orders from all over the world.
Leeds United FC, whose online store is the largest in the Football League and one of the largest football online stores in the UK, is expected to receive over 45,000 orders through the online store during the course of the season. Since Lick Online took over on the 1st July, over 4,000 orders have already been processed.
Lick Online has had shirt printing presses installed in the new Group warehouse facilities in Gildersome and the whole Lick team have been trained up so football shirts can be personalised with either the customers favourite player or their own name of the 500 orders already processed, roughly 20% have been personalised.
As part of the LUFC contract, the Lick Group will have new fulfilment software installed to help improve the efficiencies of the Leeds United fulfilment process, offering the ability for greater reporting to clients and effectively measuring ROI more efficiently.
Group MD Linden Kitson admits that the Leeds United business win appeals to both his business and personal side, As a long standing season ticket holder and avid fan of Leeds United, securing this contract is not only brilliant news for Lick Online, but also for my own personal enjoyment its great to work on a client whom I feel particularly passionate about. The opportunities for the Group as a whole moving forward are also boundless and hopefully the future relationship will see us move toward helping LUFC with their print and DM too.
