This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Brother targets SoHo market with new laser range.

Brother is building on its share of the small business and SoHo markets with its latest range of mono laser printers which feature the world's smallest laser printers with double sided printing capability. The four new machines in the HL-2200 series, which replace Brother's award-winning HL-2100 series, allow those on a moderate budget to access features which can help them to be more cost and environmentally efficient, creating a strong selling opportunity for the channel. Increased speeds, less power consumption and less storage space are some of the other benefits of the new machines, which have also been given a sleek new look in a fashionable black finish. The range also offers network ready features as well as a wireless capable model.

Phil Jones, sales and marketing director for Brother, said: "This is another example of how Brother is innovating to respond to the needs of the business community. By creating the world's smallest laser printers with automatic duplex we've got a compelling customer proposition. The new range offers everything that our target customers are looking for speed, efficiency and reliability with the advantage of being able to cut their paper usage by up to half, with the integrated duplex function. Larger companies have been benefiting from such features on more expensive machines for some time, but we've now been able to bring these features to smaller and home based businesses by creating an affordable range that will really appeal to cost and productivity minded purchasers."

All models in the range carry the Energy Star seal of approval and three of the models also carry the Blue Angel environmental accreditation. Last year's HL-2100 series achieved multiple awards for providing top value and features. The first of the new series models are available from October, starting at 83 (SRP exc. VAT)
