X2 Computing, one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of mobile computing solutions, has teamed up with one of the world's largest manufacturers of high quality retail equipment to offer a range of new custom-built picking trolleys with integrated IT solutions to meet the individual requirements of retail and warehouse operations. The new trolleys, produced in partnership with Wanzl, are easier to use, provide increased additional picking capacity and deliver significant cost savings and efficiencies throughout the e-fulfillment process.
X2 Computing has already won significant orders from some of the world's largest home shopping operations including Waitrose, which is using the new picking trolleys as part of its WaitroseDeliver home shopping service in the UK. Each trolley is equipped with an onboard scanner and a tablet PC powered by a small, lightweight all-day battery solution. The battery, tablet PC and scanner are easily removed for charging or replacement enabling the trolleys to be safely stored outside to maximise in-store retail floor space. X2 Computing also provides custom charging solutions comprising secure cabinets with the capacity to store and charge multiple computers and batteries.
