This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Keystone wins a slice of pizza delivery market.

Keystone Distribution UK has won a multi-million pound, two-year distribution contract with takeaway pizza chain Papa John's. Keystone won the contract following a competitive tender process and it will distribute food and non-food products to all of Papa John's 140 UK stores.

Keystone will be responsible for operating a multi-temperature distribution service providing store deliveries from its Hemel Hempstead and Heywood DC's.

Papa John's is a growth brand, aiming to double their estate in the UK over the next three years. Keystone's win follows Papa John's decision to invest in a new 50,000 square foot Milton Keynes-based Quality Control Centre. This facility houses Papa John's fresh dough plant and central stockholding operations.  Its launch coincides with the start of Keystone's distribution contract.

Bryan Jones, Managing Director of Keystone Distribution UK said: "Papa John's is a well established and growing global brand with cultural values that are aligned with Keystone.  Gaining this contract with Papa John's UK is a significant milestone for Keystone and represents a key development in our growth plans. We are delighted to be working with Papa John's."

Jack Swaysland, Managing Director of Papa John's said: "We're delighted to have teamed up with Keystone. The expertise that they will bring to our organisation enables us to further improve our supply chain practices, building on the launch of our new QCC Manufacturing and Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes.

"The QCC is the launch pad for Papa John's to double in size over the next few years and we believe that Keystone will be an integral factor in this expansion."
