Alpha High Theft Solutions - a division of security solutions provider, Checkpoint Systems - has won a tender with John Lewis to help protect merchandise from theft.

The long established Department Store retailer, established in 1864, will be ordering Alpha 3 Alarm CableLoks and accessory tags for all of its 30 shops nationwide and they will be used to protect a miscellany of products. This will allow the retailer to display merchandise securely without obscuring any part of the product or hindering the customer shopping experience.

Neil Matthews, VP and General Manager at Checkpoint Systems UK, welcomed the partnership: "We are really looking forward to working with John Lewis in this new business venture."

3 Alarm Technology provides retailers with three levels of protection: the first is an early detection alarm which alerts staff when a product is being tampered with in store; the second activates an EAS alarm when merchandise is leaving the store; and the third is an advanced alarming device which sounds at 95 Dba for ten minutes once merchandise has left the store.

Mike Gleeson, Development Manager Business Protection at John Lewis said: "Alpha's unique 3 Alarm Technology really stood out as a security solution for John Lewis's products, offering the added value of protecting merchandise beyond the store. We are certain that the new security devices will offer a robust method of deterring thieves and look forward to working closely with Alpha."
