This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Box Technologies announces speakers for Retail Systems Forum 2011.

Box Technologies, the UK provider of customer interface technology solutions, has announced the first in a line of speakers for this year's Retail Systems Forum 2011, to be held on 18 May 2011, within the Microsoft Conference Centre in Reading, Berkshire.

Providing the keynote opening address, Peter Edwards, Group CIO, GAME Stores Group will give an overview of some of the key components necessary to deliver an IT strategy which focuses on today's multichannel shopper. Rarely, if ever, has the retail industry had to adapt and change with the times as it does now. Peter will describe how GAME is addressing these challenges through the creation of a convincing and joined up customer shopping experience; whether in-store, online, via their mobile or through a combination of click and collect.

The IT strategy is obviously key to the success of any retail operation, but the differentiator from a customer perspective can be down to the marketing mix. Peter will also explain the some of the more important considerations to be taken into account when setting pricing levels, promotions and product selection, both in-store and online.

At Game, the specialist video games retailer based in the UK, Peter Edwards is responsible for the strategy, architecture, project delivery and operational management of the company's UK and continental Europe stores and e-commerce estate. The company has turnover of 1.3 billion and has a strong ecommerce presence in nine countries with a store estate in excess of 1300. He is also responsible for vendor procurement and relationship management.
