This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: New figures from InstantLuxe suggest online luxury goods market boom.

InstantLuxe - the online marketplace dedicated to authentic pre-owned luxury goods, has announced a rise of over 160% of new members to its site over the past year.  Consumers and professionals use InstantLuxe to buy and sell pre-owned luxury goods including bags, wallets and handbags, watches, jewellery and accessories from international brands, such as Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

"Our member rate has increased and we have seen more and more products bought and sold on our site over the last 12 months" said Yann Le Floc'h, CEO & Co-Founder of InstantLuxe. "This is a strong indication that the luxury goods market is starting to pick up and will continue to grow. With consultancies* estimating a 8% growth this year and the 5-6% annual growth over the next 4 years, we need to ensure we offer today's consumer and the consumer of the future more from the products they buy and the service they receive both online and offline. Fuelled by the market potential, we are continuously enhancing our service to offer a first-rate, integrated customer experience."

InstantLuxe is the first and only dedicated marketplace for authentic pre-owned luxury goods in the UK and France and is unique in that it is the only site of its kind that works with a team of independent valuers to guarantee the authenticity and condition of all products sold on the site.

Founded in 2009 by Yann Le Floc'h and Clment Le Chatelier and first established in the home of fashion in Paris, the site was created from a visible gap in the market for a way to buy and sell pre-owned luxury goods which came with an independent guarantee, other than that from the vendor.
