Commidea and SPAR UK win 'Retail Security Initiative of the Year' at the 2011 Retail Systems awards

Commidea, the managed service payments provider, and SPAR UK, one of the country's leading convenience stores, have won the 'Retail Security Initiative of the Year' category at the 2011 Retail Systems awards. 

The Retail Systems awards look to recognise excellence and innovation in the field of information technology within the UK retail sector. They are an opportunity for organisations to gain acknowledgement as being the leader in their field.

SPAR UK and Commidea won the award following the implementation of Commidea's Ocius Sentinel solution, the UK's first PA-DSS approved point-to-point encryption payment solution, in SPAR UK wholesalers. The award winning solution removes sensitive card data from SPAR UK's EPoS and associated network, simplifying PCI DSS compliance requirements and securing their customers' card payment data.  

The award demonstrates Commidea's leadership in payments security and exemplifies its commitment to delivering innovative payment solutions to its customers.
