MoPowered becomes a Gold Sponsor of Independent Retailer Month UK

mCommerce provider, MoPowered, has announced its full support of Independent Retailer Month, becoming a Gold level sponsor. MoPowered will be also be participating at the launch event on 1st July. MoPowered is keen to help independent merchants thrive through utilising the mobile channel, something which smaller businesses often wrongly assume to be out of their reach.

MoPowered is a managed mobile commerce (mCommerce) service that enables merchants to integrate onto a mobile retailing platform with minimal disruption to their everyday business. An extremely cost effective solution, MoPowered creates highly sophisticated mCommerce sites within weeks and charges predominantly through pay per purchase models.

We estimate that 80% of UK merchants aren't currently on mobile. He continued: "Figures show that retailers that don't have an mCommerce site are losing out on an additional 15% in online orders, therefore not having a mobile site equates to closing down your website for a day a week.  We believe that all retailers should be able to take advantage of this channel."

Until now, mobile solutions have been viewed as complex, expensive and only attainable by the largest retailers. However, MoPowered makes this technology accessible to merchants of all sizes and it comes at a time when retailers need to diversify and open up more merchandising channels to stay competitive. MoPowered has a wealth of experience and expertise, gathered in part from its work to date with a variety of retailers. These include HMV, Waterstones, and Game through to smaller merchants such as up-market takeaway firm Deliverance, outdoors specialist BAM and, greeting cards vendor The Tickle Company.
