This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: TV and Online Retailer bid shopping to roll out Kewill Trade for Direct Despatch.

Kewill, provider of solutions that simplify global trade and logistics, has signed a long-term agreement to deliver its fully hosted and managed Direct Despatch solution, Kewill Trade, for bid shopping, one of the UK's best-loved TV and online retailers and owners of bid, price drop and the speed auction channels.

The agreement will see Kewill deploy and host its web-based supply chain tracking and event management software to support bid shopping's Direct Despatch model, where goods ordered by customers via its TV and online shopping channels are shipped directly from the supplier. Direct Despatch is vital to bid shopping's strategy going forward, as it allows greater efficiencies with their supply base to support its future growth through increased volumes, as well as meeting customer expectations through speedy on-time deliveries.

The Kewill system provides real time visibility of critical data and status management throughout the entire order process. Implementation will commence immediately, with the solution expected to be fully operational by early 2013.

Jacquie Boast, Kewill COO commented "Kewill is widely regarded as the 'industry standard' provider of solutions for direct despatch. By selecting Kewill Trade, companies benefit from the latest version of tried and tested technology which is already providing significant quantifiable return on investment to leading multi-channel retailers including Shop Direct Group and JD Williams.  Thanks to the scalability and flexibility of our latest Trade solution, it can be configured to fit an individual company's business requirements by our team of retail experts."
