BlueStar EMEA Distribution appoints new Marketing Managers for the UK and Nordic Region

BlueStar, the global distributor of solutions-based ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and ID & Security technology, has made two new key appoints: Marketing Manager for the UK and Marketing Manager Nordic Region.

Robert Collins becomes BlueStar's Marketing and Communications Manager for the UK. Mr. Collins will be based in the Stafford offices and be responsible for all marketing activity within the UK, including local e-mail blasts and communications, website maintenance, BlueStar event management, industry publication advertising, and a range of other activities. He will also share a close relationship with all of BlueStar's vendor partners in the UK to ensure their marketing efforts are performed to meet expectations, efficiently and effectively.

"Rob has deep studies in Marketing and he is a great addition to the European BlueStar marketing team," said Ricard Ferrer, BlueStar's EMEA Marketing Manager. "He will ensure that all Marketing Plans and activities are perfectly adapted to our UK VARs' needs, following BlueStar's philosophy of developing strong long-term relationships and strategies at a local level, contributing to the continuous growth in that region."

I feel that my time at university, where I studied BA (Hons) Marketing Management for three years as well as my experience working within the BlueStar Sales team, will put me in good stead for the role and I cannot wait to get started and to help Bluestar grow," Mr. Collins said. "I am an enthusiastic and hard-working member of the team and I feel that my qualities will suit this role within Marketing."

BlueStar has also appointed Finn Rasmussen as Sales Manager for the Nordic region, which includes Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Mr. Rasmussen will be responsible for the sales strategies in this region that has seen tremendous growth for BlueStar over the last several years. He most recently served as BlueStar's Country Manager for Denmark for two years and he has a strong sales and management background with more than 25 years of experience in the AIDC, POS and Mobility industry.

"Mr. Rasmussen has great experience in the industry as well as with leading successful teams in Denmark," said BlueStar's Vice President of Sales for UK, Central and Nordic regions, Mr. Keith Robinson. "His new role will contribute to continue developing sales in the Nordic region where we are expecting to continue our growth."

"I believe my knowledge of the Nordic markets will contribute to the creation successful sales strategies for BlueStar and our partners," said Rasmussen. "Our local presence in this region will continue to be a key factor."
