TouchStar Technologies Ltd., a Belgravium Technologies PLC company and specialist in the design, supply and support of rugged mobile devices, has announced the launch of its first annual 'State of the Union' survey for mobile computing.

The multiple choice survey has been commissioned by TouchStar to gather valuable insight into the current mobile computing market place and gain user opinion on future trends and requirements for hardware and software. The feedback obtained by TouchStar will inform the future development of its mobile computing solutions and help its customers to continue to enhance their mobile working capabilities.

"As we enter the third platform for IT growth and innovation, the demand and emphasis on technologies to facilitate mobile working will intensify," commented Mike Turner, Group Marketing Manager TouchStar Technologies. "With this in mind, we wanted to take this opportunity to assess the priorities of our customers and prospects with respect to mobile technology so that we can continue to develop rugged mobile devices that will meet their future needs."

Individuals representing organisations from TouchStar's global base of over 500,000 installations have been invited to take part in the survey. The breadth of the results will enable TouchStar to analyse any nuances found across the diverse range of vertical markets that its customers are operating in including warehousing, oil & gas, logistics, field service and facilities management.

After completing the short survey, contributors will also be able to elect to receive a copy of the executive summary. "We wanted participants to receive something in return for their investment. The executive summary will highlight the key findings of the research and present future trends for consideration. It is our hope that this will provide our customers with a unique opportunity to benchmark their organisation against their peers," concluded Turner.
