Global Design Award for Posiflex space-saving terminal

The Posiflex HS-2310, the new all-in-one space saving EPoS terminal launched in the UK by Varlink Ltd, has been awarded a prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

The HS-2310, from Taiwanese EPoS manufacturers Posiflex, is now available in the UK and offers a true solution to the counter space problem without comprising on performance.

The terminal features a 9.7" LCD display with bezel-free touch screen, 3" thermal printer, MSR, smart card reader, finger print sensor, RFID reader and optional second customer display, all in one stylish unit which occupies a footprint no larger than a standard receipt printer.

Posiflex is distributed in the UK by York based company Varlink Ltd. Mike Pullon, Varlink CEO, said, "The HS-2310 is the latest innovative terminal from our partners Posiflex. It's space saving design, coupled with a feature rich specification, will enable retailers to maximise counter space without compromising EPoS efficiency."

The HS-2310 has numerous application possibilities with hospitality and retail industries clearly the target market for these products. However, the terminals can also be applied in any self-service environment such as ticketing, bookmakers or events to name but a few.

The "Red Dot" is established internationally as one of the most sought-after quality seals for design. The Global Design Directory "Red Dot 21" vouches for integrity and design excellence. There are prize categories for product design, design agencies, and design concepts. Winning products are presented in the Red Dot Design Museum on the premises of the historical Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen.

The HS-Series also features models with an 8" or 12" LCD display. The terminals include an Intel Pineview Dual Core 1.8GHz processor, 320GB HDD or 128GB SSD storage and maximum 4GB system memory.
