This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: New ServiceMobility release ’raises the bar for enterprise mobility’.

ServicePower Technologies Plc, the field service management technology solutions provider, has announced the newest ServiceMobility release which includes additional payment and pricing options, more configurable mobile forms, and robust rules logic. The latest version of ServiceMobility is founded upon flexibility that will allow organisations and technicians to quickly adapt to ever-changing scenarios in the field to improve both efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ServiceMobility is an HTML5 hybrid cross-platform mobile application; further enhancements have built on its already robust set of field service management functionality. The browser based technology, which supports any connected device or operating system, has been designed to support end to end field mobilization, including time cards, work order management, tasks, photos, asset diagrams, inventory, signature capture and customer surveys, GPS and navigation. The latest enhancements include additional payment and pricing features, customer estimates, hybrid offline-online product catalogues, new Flex Forms features and robust rules logic.

These additions to ServiceMobility will immediately give organisations a competitive advantage and better first time fix rates in the field. Now, for example, not only will individuals be able to process onsite payments, the improvements to payment and pricing functions include advanced tax rate tables, collecting deposits when ordering parts, flexible work order credit options, advanced discounting, and full in-field credit card, debit card, gift card and check payment collection.

The new estimate module provides the customer with complete details and an explanation of the service to be provided along with a cost breakdown. If the customer approves the estimate a validation signature can be captured.

Flex Forms functionality has been enhanced to provide more intelligent and flexible configuration for field service organizations, including additional data input types, field grouping, a streamlined user interface, and support for multiple forms in every area they are supported.

Crucially for innovative field organisations, and the most exciting new feature in ServiceMobility, ServicePower have introduced Flex Forms Rules. The rules enhancement provides clients with a new level of end to end mobilization of process, and enables each to rapidly deploy new strategies and adapt to change in the field without having to call upon expensive IT contractors to make code changes to software. It does this by using Flex Forms which enable customers to define when a form's field or group of fields are to be visible, when they are required and whether the input itself is valid. Rules have access to other form field values as well as the fields and data collections of the business process in which they are currently running.

Marne Martin, CEO, ServicePower, stated "We are thrilled with the continued momentum and innovation in our field service management platform with ServiceMobility. Our mobile development team, with over 20 years of mobile application development experience, continues to push the envelope and enhance the product to support our customers' changing requirements. The new rules logic is a game changer that allows our customers to drastically alter the functional aspects of ServiceMobility to fit their ever-evolving business requirements. Through rules, customers can now deploy what looks and feels like a custom solution while staying on a single-source upgradable ServiceMobility product - truly the best of both worlds.

"ServicePower is a visionary, and is the field service management solution of choice to organizations which seek to operate most efficiently in today's changing field service environment."

For the future ServicePower will continue to build new functions in ServiceMobility's business management engine, called Nexus FS, such as entitlement, vendor management and its flagship optimization engine. This will mean that small to medium sized businesses, and those enterprises seeking a true end-to-end field management platform, can rely on ServicePower as a single source vendor for all of its field service operations requirements.
