Independent wine specialist, Roberson Wine, is the latest retailer to select the popular NetDespatch cloud-based shipping and data management platform to streamline its order fulfilment process. The NetDespatch platform seamlessly connects the company's online order management system with the APC Overnight parcel delivery network, and has significantly reduced order processing and despatch time.
The multiple award winning Roberson Wine has a shop on Kensington High Street as well as its own e-commerce website. The company delivers more than 5,000 consignments a year throughout the UK as well as to a number of overseas destinations. With 50% of these sales taking place online – a number that is increasing all the time, and a need to rationalise its order fulfilment process, Roberson Wine chose NetDespatch to provide the solution.
Roberson Wine also realised that a key benefit of NetDespatch integration is that it eliminates transcription errors between web orders and the despatch process. Order and delivery details sent to the carrier are exactly the same as those entered by the customer when the order is placed.

After discussing the integration options, the NetDespatch Retail Solutions team helped Roberson to implement a seamlessly integrated solution that links the company's custom-built e-commerce website with the APC Overnight delivery network. All orders from the website are automatically processed through the NetDespatch cloud based platform, producing the correct shipping labels from the company's Surrey-based bonded warehouse and notifying the local APC Overnight depot, Streetwise Couriers, Surrey, that that packages are ready for collection. Customer service staff can view despatched items and track them online.
