This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: SpacePole, Inc. launches in North America by acquiring the relevant operational assets of long-time distribution partner, Seamark International LLC.

The Ergonomic Solutions Group has announced that SpacePole, Inc. has opened for business in North America, by bringing in-house the operational assets of the SpacePole distribution business of long-time partner, Seamark International LLC.

Under the arrangement, Seamark International LLC will continue to operate with its other interests, products and services, as normal.
The agreement will see SpacePole, Inc. add operational capability as the company expands its representation within the North American marketplace. Key to its strategy is to realise the exceptional market growth prospects available in the United States, and the opportunities afforded as the retail sector implements EMV (Chip & PIN) based credit and debit cards.

As an Ergonomic Solutions company, the acquisition is part of a global strategy to grow the organisation's business, and develop its successful channel offering, The Space Programme, outside of the traditional EMEA marketplace. From day one, SpacePole, Inc. will operate from Nashua, New Hampshire, but will expand operations and support services with the addition of a new base in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2016. Local Atlanta based assembly facilities will also be added in the near future.

Speaking of the launch, Ian Dewar, President North America and Managing Director, Ergonomic Solutions Group, said. "This agreement will allow our organisation to better meet the needs of our customers by being able to offer enhanced local customer support and services. Introducing US based assembly will in turn reduce lead and shipping times, and will allow us to develop our channel business and enhance our support for existing customers and partners." He added, "This acquisition means that the Ergonomic Solutions Group is now better positioned to optimize our product offering to the benefit of our customers globally."
