This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Kitchenware retailer puts Peoplevox e-commerce fulfilment on the menu.

Peoplevox, the e-commerce warehouse management (WMS) and fulfilment software specialist, has announced kitchenware online retailer FortheChef as its latest Client.

Based in the US, FortheChef sells kitchen and tabletop products for the home and professional chef, baker and entertainer and joins over 100 retailers already deploying Peoplevox's mobile-ready WMS system. These include pure-play e-commerce, multichannel and brands such as Barbour, Intersport, Mothercare and The Range.

FortheChef's decision follows a requirement to optimise staff overheads, productivity and order fulfilment accuracy at its 67,000 sq.ft.warehouse in New Jersey, US. By deploying Peoplevox's powerful software as a service (SaaS) WMS system, FortheChef has been able to save on typical IT infrastructure costs while its compatibility with Windows and Android operating systems allows total flexibility on choice of scanners. The system is also able to push orders directly to warehouse personnel handhelds no matter where they are stationed.

"One of the things that really impressed me was the fact that Peoplevox is able to support random locations out of the box, a feature that some of the bigger players were unable to provide - or in order to do so, we would have had to shell out tens of thousands in costs to implement," said FortheChef's CEO, Gary Li.

Founded six years ago, Peoplevox has successfully pioneered software as a service (SaaS) warehouse management systems (WMS) for e-commerce retailers by delivering affordable 'Amazon-quality' logistics. They no longer have to rely on paper, spreadsheets or invest heavily in traditional WMS and ERP systems never designed for the pace and complexities of today's e-commerce, multichannel world.

"We produce dedicated mobile-ready WMS software that makes fast-growing e-commerce retailers like FortheChef more efficient, competitive and profitable," said Peoplevox's founder and CEO, Jonathan Bellwood. "The Peoplevox WMS is helping e-commerce warehouses in 20 countries successfully ship more than 3 million parcels per month and on Black Friday 2015 over a 1 million shipments were managed."

Using the Peoplevox WMS platform retailer Clients can more profitably scale their businesses without compromising customer experience. Rapidly deployed and accessible from anywhere by mobile app or via the web, the easy to configure and use software optimises inventory levels while enabling customer orders and returns to be managed more efficiently. The system's real-time reporting ensures accurate inventory management and simplifies order tracking and traceability. Picking routes are also optimised resulting in improved warehouse personnel productivity and accuracy.

The Peoplevox WMS Open Architecture allows easy integration with all leading e-commerce Sales, Marketplace, Delivery, ERP and Accounting platforms. This enables Clients easy access to solutions such as Magento, ChannelAdvisor, MetaPack, Hybris, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage, NetSuite, Salesforce, Demandware and Shopify.
