For its fourth edition, Paris Retail Week will take place from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th September 2018 in Pavilion 1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
Focusing on the theme of the Smart Phygital, this year's event will provide an optimal vision of the challenges in 360° retail, including new models of distribution, layout and design, the consumer path to purchase, web to store and store to web, the omni-channel, CRM, shopper marketing and agile logistics.
More than just a show, Paris Retail Week is THE annual meeting that is highly-anticipated across the retail industry. For this edition, 40,000 professionals and 800 companies will participate. Over 350 French and international speakers will present testimonials, keynotes, plenary lectures and more.
International retail professionals gather in one place
In 2018, the Equipmag / Store sector, dedicated to physical trade and distribution, joins forces with the E-Commerce sector, dedicated to e-commerce solutions, from digital marketing to logistics, to offer visitors a 360° solution.
Paris Retail Week 2018 presents solutions, services and products to professionals in the sector through six exhibition areas: IT For Commerce, Retail Tech / Digital in Store, Layout / Equipment, Payment solutions, Marketing/ Data and Customer Relationship as well as Logistics / e-logistics and Supply Chain. In addition to these areas,Paris Retail Week will also host a Start-Up area, bringing together young companies that will showcase the most innovative retail solutions, as well as a Brand & Innovation Village.
The Smart Phygital: analysis and debates
Paris Retail Week will organise over 250 conferences, workshops and keynotes for all its visitors. These talks are filled with ideas and inspiration and are a chance for retailers to get up to date with the issues and solutions in their sector.
The main theme of Paris Retail Week is the Smart Phygital, an agile and global retail ecosystem. For three days, national and international experts will analyse and debate this new paradigm. The plenary conferences will develop the Smart Phygital theme from different angles.

Moreover, the Paris Retail Week keynotes will give industry professionals the opportunity to learn from the experiences of some of the most respected retail companies.
New this year are the International Retail Sessions; four smart talks presented by international retail players that will unveil the latest trends in the sector. The best practices from global countries will be put into the spotlight. Speakers include: Roman Kirsch, CEO de Lesara, (Allemagne), Takashi Okutani, Executive Officer at Oisix (Japan), Brendan Witcher, Principal Analyst at Forrester (USA), Laetitia Faure, Founder of Urban Sublime & Isabelle Musnik, Fondatrice Influencia (France).
All talks in the plenary room will benefit from simultaneous translation into English.
The visitor's Solutions Workshops, "Toolboxes", are intended to allow exhibitors to present their solutions, technologies and results for 45 minutes. Visitors and professionals can discover new actions or innovations during the three days of the show.
A real moment for learning, the Solutions Workshops provide an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge between visitors and exhibitors.
Business at the heart of Paris Retail Week
Paris Retail Week aims to optimise the visitor journey by organising pre-scheduled qualified Business Meetings with relevant exhibitors. In 2017, more than 870 appointments were scheduled.
The objective of Business Meetings is to allow exhibitors to meet qualified decision makers, selected according to their profile and named projects. This free service is accessible to all visitors to meet new suppliers and find concrete and relevant solutions to their problem.
Paris Retail Week: uncovering new talent
An opportunity for discovery and reflection, Paris Retail Week showcases the wealth of successful companies and initiatives, in all sectors of activity, retail and e-commerce.
One of the vocations of Paris Retail Week is to give opportunities to promising start-ups at the cutting edge of new technologies. The Start-up area groups more than 60 young companies and allows them to meet future customers to ensure the development of their solutions.
The Paris Retail Awards recognises the entire industry, enabling service and solution providers to raise their profile, reward the efforts of an entire team, initiate new contracts and, like some previous winners, raise funds.
11 prizes will be awarded: seven winners, one overall winner, the French Initiative Award, the Jury's favourite and the Rookie of the Year award, which will again highlight a brilliant young start-up.
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday 10th September at 5:00pm.
Various activities for a Smart Phygital experience
In parallel with exhibitor meetings, visitors of Paris Retail Week will be able to take advantage of various activities organised with the show's partners, to discover the latest innovations whilst enjoying a unique experience.
This year's highlights include:
- Tiki by Event Bots home robots: EVENT BOTS, a French start-up, is shaking up the hospitality and retail markets with its humanoid assistant TiKi host. 3 TIKI robots will welcome visitors to the entrance of the show and give them the programme of the day.
- Viva The Store! A new space specially designed to reflect the new dynamics of the point of sale. It will highlight the latest innovations from exhibitors in the POS layout / equipment / marketing sector of the show, in a fun and experiential way, all staged to create a surprising and prospective itinerary. In partnership with INFLUENCIA and Urban Sublime.
- Virtual Reality Room by VR Academie: VR Academie, a virtual reality communication agency, will propose "entertainment" animations in the show's networking space with two dedicated spaces: an immersive 360° space and a VR gaming space.
- An after-work drink on Tuesday 11 September at 5.00pm, the opportunity to relax and network!
Store visits alongside the exhibition to discover new shopping experiences
For the fourth consecutive year, Paris Retail Week will offer visitors the chance to discover the Parisian stores that are standing out for their innovative concepts.
In 2018, three Paris Retail Tours are scheduled. This is a unique opportunity to visit several outlets located in prestigious Parisian districts, whose concepts are distinguished by their innovative character through the implementation of new technologies by a specific design or by cleverly situated merchandising making the purchasing process a unique and seamless experience.
Three days of inspiration and competitive monitoring will allow visitors to enrich their best practices and meet with representatives of the selected stores to gain feedback.
