A new digital shelf edge display has been launched by Selectronic. Called ‘Edge’, the product is claimed to be ideally suited for retail POS applications. It allows retailers to make dynamic changes to product shelves and key merchandising areas in a matter of seconds.
And the all-important factor for retailers - it will influence shoppers, with product videos, promotional offers and incentives etc.
Selectronic have been in displays for over 30 years and are now launching complete solution options for customers and in the case of ‘the Edge’ at key markets like Point of Sale. Kevin Dry, Managing Director, said he was delighted with the engineering team’s backing for the concept and especially its potential, offering colour screens to promote retail sales at point of purchase.
“Using Selectronic displays and driver boards with award winning cloud based platforms, retailers can create engaging shelf-edge promotions themselves without the need to go to a third party,” said Dry. Features of the product include the ability to digitally display product information and campaigns directly to the shelf edge; content changes can be made dynamically in any store, in any location.
Promotional campaigns can be created easily and delivered directly to the shelf edge within seconds while up to seven individual shelf edge displays can be used to create one continuous canvas.
So positive was the feedback that Selectronic is already working on other options with ‘letterbox’ style displays of a larger dimension and also the option of a 600mm square TFT to enable an even wider selection of video formats to be shown.
