Restore Technology, the UK provider of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) solutions, has announced a pledge to offer ‘smarter, cleaner, greener IT disposal solutions’ following the shock announcement that rival Arrow Electronics is closing its ITAD business. 

The decision by Arrow to wind down its ITAD operations has left customers reeling, with the company terminating its related agreements. Arrow’s CEO said that the business was ‘not sustainable’ over the long term and no longer aligned with the company’s wider strategy. 

In response to the announcement, Restore Technology is offering former Arrow customers the opportunity for a seamless transfer for ITAD services in the UK. The company already has an extensive network of high-quality services, expertise and experience in providing ITAD solutions to a large customer base. 

The ITAD industry is seeing a major increase in business following high profile incidents of data loss which have led to companies incurring huge fines under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Just this week Marriott International is facing a £100 million due to a data loss incident which put customers at risk.
