Footwear retailer schuh uses the BHT-1505BB handheld terminal from DENSO WAVE EUROPE. The branded shoe stockist was looking for a mobile data collection device to reduce the stock take time in their 132 stores in the UK and Ireland.

With increasing customer demands and large stock numbers, they needed to upgrade to a more advanced technology in comparison to their initially used method. 

“Our paper-based system was very time-consuming and unfortunately not as accurate as we wanted. The handheld terminal helps us offer a better service to our customers,” explains Winstone. “For instance, our products are much better visible in our stores and we can help our customers quickly in case their size or desired colour of a shoe model is not available, because our warehouse management is always up to date”, she continues. 

The BHT-1505BB handheld terminal has helped schuh make sure that their products are available on the shop floor more quickly, and no product is stuck in the stockroom and not on display. “We now know much better which stock is on hand and can make effective demand and supply forecasts,” says Winstone.
