Nutravita, a fast-growth e-commerce supplement company, has selected James and James Fulfilment to provide a fully outsourced e-commerce fulfilment service, as it diversifies and enhances its direct-to-consumer (D2C) shopping experience. This partnership also sees James and James provide Nutravita with access to its award-winning, cloud-based order management system, ControlPort.

Nutravita was founded by two entrepreneurial brothers, Arash and Babak Peyami, in 2014 with an £8,000-limit credit card. Initially the bedroom-based business relied solely on Amazon as the company’s shopfront. Since then, this British eCommerce supplement company has grown into a one million pound business. But, in order to continue growing and to scale, it had to diversify and include a D2C offering.

In addition to this, Nutravita has a wider vision to become a key player in a heavily saturated and highly competitive supplement market. Key to enabling this vision, though, has involved drawing on James and James’s fulfilment experience to provide a better and more efficient D2C shopping, goods delivery and customer experience. Further, not only has this partnership become integral to Nutravita’s D2C operations; but collectively the team has noticed a reduction in the level of manual work required to provide a consistent, high-quality customer service to shoppers; especially through the pandemic.

“As we were establishing our brand, initially Amazon worked as a channel to sell, but scaling would’ve been difficult. We couldn’t diversify and put our stamp on our brand. So, we chose to partner with James and James and considered D2C e-commerce as a channel to market,” says Arash Peyami, CEO and Co-Founder of Nutravita.“If you are looking to grow your brand, it is vital to outsource so that you can focus on the more important parts of your business. Partnering with James and James enabled us to spend less time packing and shipping orders and more time on growing our company. Our D2C business is now our focal point and that's why James and James are so important. Together, we are able to deliver a great customer experience to our online shoppers and we now have full visibility of our data and order fulfilment."

James and James have worked with Nutravita since October 2020, with fulfilment carried out by James and James’s Northampton based fulfilment centre.

James Hyde, CEO and Co-founder of James and James Fulfilment concludes: “We serve a number of D2C clients in the health, wellbeing and supplement industry and are familiar with this market. We are used to helping businesses scale up to meet growing sales demands. Since our partnership began, we've consistently facilitated and fulfilled over 1,700 Nutravita orders a week - and that figure continues to rise as the demand for Nutravita's product offering increases. Notably, this figure accelerated throughout Covid-19 and the pandemic e-commerce boom. So this made it crucial for us to meet Nutravita’s needs during this important time for its business, brand and customers. We’re excited to see the growth of Nutravita and be part of its next phase of expansion; and diversification across Europe, and beyond.”
