The Third Amazon Business Exchange (ABX) conference for European procurement, finance, supply chain and business leaders across industries is set to take place virtually on the 5th of October from 10 am – 12:30 pm CET.

Molly Dobson, Country Manager for UK & Ireland says: “ABX 2021 will unpack how purchasing transformation can move organisations forward. I’m thrilled to see the procurement changemakers – from retail through public sector – who will be joining us to share their strategies and best practices of driving savings and speed within their organisations.”

Speakers from leading organisations that have just been announced include: bp, Acciona, Schneider Electric, Universität der Bundeswehr, Faurecia, Amorim Cork, Lantania, Applus+ and more, alongside senior Amazon leaders.

This year’s event will focus on four key procurement areas: Cost Savings, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability in Procurement. Session highlights include:

  • Jewish Care’s Business Manager of operations Helena Katseph discussing how switching to digital purchasing has helped them to become more organised with their spending and driven more savings for their organisation. Jewish Care is the largest health and social care organisation serving the Jewish community in the south-east of England, touching approximately 10,000 people’s lives each week, with procurement needs to match.
  • Attendees will also hear from enterprise customers like Ben Womack, Systems Development Manager at Leeds teaching Hospital Trust, about dealing with the procurement issues that arose in the health industry during the pandemic, and how digitalisation and advanced tools helped them streamline their processes to overcome those problems at a critical time.
  • Gualtiero Mattavelli, Indirect Procurement Director – Global Supply chain at Schneider Electric, talking about the ways in which Amazon Business tools have allowed his team to ensure an easy-to-use system for his staff, without compromising their long-term goals to use less suppliers as part of their CSR policies.

The ABX conference is designed to help enterprise, public sector organisations and small businesses explore how to drive transformation in procurement.
