Take Safety Seriously

As a responsible employer, one of your biggest priorities when setting up your warehouse space will be worker safety. To start with, make sure that you have taken out the right insurance to cover your company in case of any accidents or injuries on the property. Then, commission a thorough inspection of the space to identify any potential hazards. Make sure that any possible hazards are clearly signposted and that you have signs up detailing any protective gear that staff need to be wearing on-site.

It is your responsibility to supply your team with protective items and to give them the proper safety training. This is a legal requirement, and failure to do this will make you liable if any injuries or accidents should occur. You also need to ensure that a proper first aid kit is available.
