Fashion business systems provider, Prologic, has launched the latest release of CIMS, the integrated-channel software for fashion & lifestyle companies.

CIMS V7.8 introduces the new CIMS eCommerce Portal, providing the highest levels of cross-channel integration to mid tier retailers which was until now beyond the budgets of all but the largest players. The new software also includes major improvements in store grading and stock replenishment functions, with the first V7.8 customers reporting a 50% improvement in productivity. Early adopters of V7.8 include Hobbs, Ted Baker, Fat Face, Aquascutum and Internacionale.

Sam Jackson, Chief Executive of Prologic, said: Many of our customers have been using CIMS for several years, some for more than 10 years. During that time we have constantly developed and evolved the software to accommodate new technologies, market trends and preferences. CIMS V7.8 is just the latest example of this successful approach.

Jackson added: Our proactive development strategy allows us to work very closely with customers, understanding how our software fits with and improves their business, and where any extensions will add new value. With this collaborative approach, we are able to exceed the capabilities of traditional software providers and continue to keep our clients ahead of the market by providing the latest and most advanced toolset that our customers need.

The Prologic CIMS model is based on responsive and continuous improvement to a single version, single database product. Because all Prologic customers operate within the fashion & lifestyle sector, functional improvements are of value to most customers. This means that the rate of functionality enhancement is far greater than could be achieved by each customer making their own bespoke improvements. The model also means that customers benefit from the stability, low cost and robustness associated with a single version software product.
