A recent survey commissioned by McAfee found identity theft is the biggest concern for Brits when it comes to their online security, with 35% ranking identify theft as their top concern, followed by protecting family and children (27%), and data privacy (15%). However, almost a fifth (19%) take no specific action to protect their identity. McAfee understands the importance of feeling safe and how that can positively affect peace of mind. Protecting the Connected Home

As education and awareness rises, individuals and organisations are getting better at protecting against various types of malware malware like ransomware. Per new McAfee Labs research, this improvement is likely to drive cybercriminals to adjust their tactics and target less traditional, more profitable targets, including high net-worth individuals, businesses and connected home devices.

Together with D-Link, McAfee is helping to secure all connected devices in the home against new threats including viruses, malware, botnet attacks and phishing. The new D-Link AC2600 Wi-Fi Router Powered by McAfee and based on Intel's connected home technology provides consumers with a comprehensive solution that automatically increases security for devices on the home network. D-Link and McAfee are collectively delivering on both companies' visions to provide security in an increasingly connected world with features like adaptable machine learning, parental controls, protection for IoT devices and more.

Safeguarding the Mobile Ecosystem

More and more, consumers are using their mobile phones to connect to public Wi-Fi, which opens them up to having their personal information accessed by cybercriminals. McAfee's partners understand this risk and share the collective vision of building security into devices from the start. Samsung Secure Wi-Fi, featuring back-end technology from McAfee, which encrypts personal information during sensitive transaction and online activities, is now also available on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 in the U.K., Germany and France.
