Databac Group, specialist provider of identification solutions, announces Dataimage Kiosk, its new reception terminal which enables users to design their own kiosk solution quickly and easily.

This freestanding, plug-and-play terminal can be configured for a multitude of public transaction applications to reduce queues, increase customer satisfaction, lighten the workload and free up staff. Dataimage Kiosk features modular hardware and customisable software, making it a highly-flexible proposition ideal for visitor ID, self-service at retail outlets, auto-check in at theatres, hotels, clubs and conferences, online searching and even online purchasing.

Featuring a touch screen and fanless iPOS PC, Dataimage Kiosk comes preloaded with Databac's popular Dataimage Visitor software. Set up and ready to use in minutes, Dataimage Kiosk represents an elegant, no-nonsense kiosk solution, with in-built scalability to add more complex functions when the need arises.

Depending on application, the terminal can be fitted with a variety of devices, including keyboards, card printers, receipt printers, ID or credit card readers and biometric verification devices.

Dataimage Kiosk can also connect to a rewritable plastic card printer for both visitor and loyalty applications. Where used for visitor control, rewritable cards like Data ReWrite, developed and manufactured by Databac,
can be branded in full colour, then printed and reprinted 500 times for each new visitor, bringing huge savings in plastic card usage. In loyalty schemes, clients can use the kiosk to update the information printed on
their personalised rewritable card.

Dataimage Visitor, pre-installed in Dataimage Kiosk, is Databac's own, 32-bit visitor control software for the effective management of visitors, contractors and temporary personnel. Features include pre-booking via intranet, visitor insert design, self registration, visitor tracking, tailored reporting and optional biometric verification. The customisable software can be adapted to user requirements.
