Picturehouse Cinemas along with Newman Online have selected Transaction Network Services to provide a complete multi-channel solution for their credit card transaction processing needs.

Picturehouse Cinemas along with Newman Online have selected Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS) to provide a complete multi-channel solution for their credit card transaction processing needs. Picturehouse Cinemas, founded in 1989, is the UKs largest independent cinema group. In March, the company acquired Newman Online, which is a web based box office system and management solution for cinemas.

TNS will provide a multi-faceted solution that will begin as a front end application with Newman Online and ultimately support various end users located at point of sale terminals in the 18 Picturehouse cinemas and nine other cinemas across the UK that use the Newman system.

Picturehouse Cinemas and Newman Online will utilise TNS SmartCCard Lite solution, a Chip and PIN application for POS terminals, and TNS Payment Gateway.
TNS will also assist with membership transactions, such as telephone ticket sales, and an e-commerce system for web bookings.

Since the launch of the membership recurring payment scheme [or Auto-Renew facility] just two weeks ago, we have had over 1,500 customers sign up. I hope to see our numbers continue to grow at such a rapid rate in the coming weeks.
