Tesco switches to Secureseal to protect fleet

Tesco is maintaining security of goods in transit with Secureseal's tamper-evident trailer seals. Secureseal will replace electronic seals forall new build trailers and rigid vehicles, and also replace faulty electronic seals in order to achieve optimum levels of security sealing across its 4,000 strong trailer fleet.

Secureseal is a permanent reusable seal with a unique random security number generator that records unauthorised door openings. These robust stainless steel devices are proven to provide long trouble-free life typically exceeding 8 years.

Tesco is committed to its Green Policy and avoids using wasteful disposable seals in favour of environmentally-friendly reusable seals. With Secureseal, Tesco has resolved any issues associated with failed electronic devices or battery replacements.

Cliff Smith, Tesco's Fleet Engineering Manager says: "Secureseal offers a reliable and better value sealing solution that will maintain the security of goods in transit."

OEM Group's Chairman Ben Grant comments: "There are now in excess of 28,000 vehicles fitted with Secureseal and with the inclusion of Tesco the product is fitted on trailers of the world's leading supermarkets on both sides of the Atlantic.

Secureseal is part of the OEM Group and the trailer seal is the company's mainstream product that has been developed as part of a new generation of  security and automated monitoring devices using the latest automatic RFID  and mobile communications technology.
