Digital Signage Expo 2010 has announced its Forum programme, now available online. The Open Digital Signage Forum, organised via a partnership with the Platt Retail Institute, will this year focus on best practices and deployments from across Europe and North America, with speakers from JCDecaux, Harrods, Media Markt, IMTV and Monopoly Media.

This years Digital Signage Open Forum is organised via a partnership with the Platt Retail Institute, an expert in research and consulting for businesses seeking to impact the customer in-store experience. Topics to be covered in expert panel discussions from participants across Europe include, among many others:

  • Challenges associated with Creating Compelling Content for a Network
  • What's Ahead for Mall Digital Signage Networks
  • Positioning networks with agencies and brands
  • Success and Challenges Associated With OOH Networks in Eastern Europe
  • Integrated marketing

Retail case studies to be explored as examples of best practices include Metro AG-Media Markt & Saturn and Harrods. The Forum will close with a panel of industry leaders in discussion comparing the outlook for digital signage in Spain, Germany, France, the UK and Eastern Europe, enabling attendees to gain a global insight into this rapidly evolving market.

The format of the Forum is designed to look at best practices and deployments rather than at the specific technology involved, in order to address the issues of digital signage at a holistic level, explains Jens Schindler, Managing Director of the organiser, hf media & events.

Speakers include company leadership at JCDecaux, Europe's largest out of home advertising company, The Life Channel, a leading out of home TV network, Futuramedia, France's leading digital signage network operator, Harrods, the world-renowned store in London, Metro AG-Media Markt and Saturn, Germany's leading electronics retailers, Monopoly Media, one of Romania's largest advertising agencies and operator of Eastern Europe's largest digital signage network, Neo Media Group, one of the global leaders in media sales networks, and IMTV, a Russian advertising agency for out of home networks and in-store digital signage, among many others. Full details of the speaker programme for the Digital Signage Open Forum - as well as detailed information on what the talks will cover can be found online at http://www.digitalsignageeurope.com/ds-expo/content/programme.
