Chase Paymentech Europe Ltd., a merchant acquirer and payment processor, was recently voted as the 'Card and Payments Solution of the Year' at the 2010 Retail System Awards. The awards, which recognise excellence and innovation in the field of information technology, are one of the most prestigious on the retail calendar.


 
The judges awarded the title to Chase Paymentech for its Orbital Payment Gateway. The solution has helped lowcostholidays.com and a number of leading brands increase online sales and revenue, whilst lowering the cost of handling Customer Not Present (CNP) payments.
 
Held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane, the host Declan Curry from the BBC's Working Lunch programme presented the award to Shane Fitzpatrick, President of Chase Paymentech Europe Limited.
 
Receiving the award Shane commented: "A number of leading companies were honored with industry awards tonight. To be nominated and shortlisted for two awards with one of our high performing merchants, lowcostholidays.com was a real success in itself.  To cap off the night, we won the award for 'Card and Payment Solution of the Year' on behalf of all our team.  It was a proud moment too for Paul Evans, CEO at lowcostholidays.com and his team."
