K2 software has been awarded 'Manufacturing, Logistics and Retail Project of the Year' for 2012 through the submission of its case study for PD Ports. K2 also won 'Workflow/BPM Product of the Year' at this event last year.

PD Ports (www.pdports.co.uk) owns and operates facilities that see thousands of tonnes of goods transported from its facilities to customer destinations across the UK on a daily basis.

Recognising outstanding products and services, the Document Manager Awards (DM Awards) hosted its annual awards ceremony at the Hotel Russell, London on Oct. 25 to showcase finalists in their respective categories and recognise winners chosen by the technology community.

This award recognises outstanding success stories that exploit document and content technologies. It is judged on the following criteria: general innovation and delivery of new or improved products or services; costs savings projected/achieved and delivery of tangible or intangible benefits; streamlining and increased efficiency of processes; and enhanced levels of customer service.

"We are delighted to be receiving this award reflecting customer and community support of our project," said Dennis Parker, vice president, K2 Europe, Middle East and Africa. "K2 would like to extend its thanks and congratulations to PD Ports for their role in this award."
