Derby's newly-launched champagne bar and Indian fine dining restaurant Cardamom Club has adopted an EPoS solution from Sigma Touch Solutions to take advantage of point-of-sale marketing opportunities and boost repeat visits.

Working with EPoS reseller Easitech, the restaurant, which opened last week, opted for a range of eight fixed terminals from hardware manufacturer Sigma Touch, installed with Dinerware software.

The solution includes six i700 terminals fitted with integrated 7" HD customer displays to stream promotional videos and adverts for event nights, special offers and incentives. A built-in digital imaging camera will also allow the restaurant roll out a loyalty campaign by capturing codes from mobile phones and applying discounts direct to customer bills.

Two wall-mounted i600 terminals have been set into the restaurant's central feature podium. These give serving staff all the functionality and convenience they need to take and update customer orders quickly and efficiently while they are out on the floor.

"When Easitech first introduced us to the benefits of the i700's second customer-facing screen, we very quickly saw great potential in using point-of-sale advertising as a valuable customer touch point," explains Paul Lalli, Executive Director of Cardamom Club.

"The sleek look and feel of the terminals is also very much in keeping with the restaurant's high quality design and fit-out."
