Maginus, provider of multi-channel solutions for retail & B2B distribution companies, has acquired InfoData Solutions (IDS), the Business Intelligence (BI) specialist. The acquisition is a strategic move by Maginus to further strengthen the solutions the company provides to its retail and wholesale distribution clients.
InfoData Solutions specialises in delivering Business Intelligence solutions for Microsoft Dynamics and SQL users that turn data into business information. The company's solutions are based on a technology called ZAP BI for which it was one of the first companies to provide implementation services to the UK Dynamics market. ZAP provides tools that deliver a rapid BI and reporting suite to businesses to gain maximum effectiveness from their business solutions. It brings together data from a variety of sources whilst providing users with a range of pre-built solutions that are delivered rapidly in an easy to use format to gain maximum ROI not only on the BI solution but the business applications as well.
"We are delighted to announce the acquisition of InfoData Solutions. Their skill set in delivering effective, easy to use BI solutions, particularly within the Dynamics AX market is a natural extension to the solutions we provide to our customers. Dynamics AX is a fantastic ERP platform with a wealth of data and the ZAP solution gives customers much greater insight into that data, but importantly allows customers to combine their ERP data with data from other sources such as web sites or consumer details such as census data etc." said Simon Weeks, CEO, Maginus.
"This agreement is an exciting opportunity for InfoData Solutions to extend our reach into the market. It's great news for both our customers and employees. Customers will benefit from a broader range of skills and products and it will give more stability and opportunities for our employees," said Philip Stride, Managing Director, InfoData Solutions.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is with immediate effect. InfoData Solutions management will remain in key management roles within Maginus, which will continue to be led by Simon Weeks.
